My first Optifast

I am on day 4 also. I don't mind the chocolate at all. I also have vanilla. I add 1/2 tsp of cocoa to it and it tastes just like the chocolate one. I also found the colder the better and I drink it out I a straw cup with closed lid. I really find that the cup of broth at night around supper time is a great end to the day. Glad I am doing opti in the summer and not cold winter when you want something warm in your belly!!

So happy to hear how everyone is doing and just to feel I am not alone doing this right now makes me feel better.. My hubby and daughter offered to go on a shake diet so I wouldn't feel alone but I was scared of having 3 moody people instead of one lol..I was also thinking of mixing 50/50 vanilla and chocolate  if I don't like vanilla.. Has anyone tried that?

Hi Maricw.  Not about optifast but I was wondering.  In your signature line you say "family dr confirmed".  I was wondering what that means?  My doc sent my referral, but not sure it was "confirmed".  Maybe in need to make sure something is confirmed?? Thx, judy.

Be afraid of the vanilla....very afraid ;).  I hated the vanilla so much that I used all the vanilla first so that I could get rid of it (4 weeks total).  Loved the chocolate.  You'll get through it.  Once you start seeing the lbs come off (I lost about 30 lbs while on Optifast), you'll start to really get the motivation going...

As an aside, does anyone know where I can set my timezone on the forums?  My time when I post is  3 hours behind my actual time, and I can't find the setting anywhere...

Sadly, you can't. They're based in California. We all live on OH 3 hours behind the REAL time.
