Wondering if anyone has experienced an issue when trying to order chike products online? It tells me they are unable to provide me with a shipping price and won't allow me to go forward with my order. I am located in the Hamilton area (Stoney Creek)

Hello,

i had the same problem and its because we are in Canada. All you need to do is call or email them and place your order personally. They are very helpful and kind. There is shipping fees but i found them not too high, hope this helps:) katherine

They are super helpful over the phone because their on-line system is not set up for International deliveries.  Quick and awesome service! and Chike is one of the best protein shakes (especially if you enjoy the taste of coffee)

While I agree that Chike Iced Coffee is absolutely one, if not THE, best tasting protein shakes out there, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for early pre-ops.  It has 20g protein, compared to 30 in Premier as an example, and 9g carbs, which is quite high.

I appreciate you turning me on to these - you've made my afternoon protein fix a treat :)

Please run these by your dietician. I know that the coffee drinks are not recommended here by Windsor - this one or Click because they have too many carbs per amount of protein.

You are absolutely right on this, Dawn. I advise the same and never recommend them for early-outs. Ever. At all. It's a nice "indulgence" for a way-out post-op, otherwise not so much. Agreed!

Thank You I will have to double check before I leave the hospital. I have all kinds of premier protein but was looking to buy a variety so I don't get bored.

I'm glad you're going to check. As I've said in 2 posts in this thread, and Dawn has also commented, these are not the best choice for a new post-op. Yummy, yes. Best source of protein? Not so much.

You can add stuff to the Premier shakes (not that they really need anything) to change them up. :)

The two kinds you mentioned have caffeine and probably aren't suitable for new post-ops, but do you think I can have Syntrax Nectar Cappuccino?  I think it's made with decaf.

Yep, I checked it out - no caffeine, 23g protein. Never tasted it, hope it's yummy, let us know! :)
