Everyone is different. If you are having pain and are concerned, see a doctor whether it be at a walk-in or the ER.

How long ago was your surgery. About 1 week after I had my surgery I had a sharp pain just above my belly button. I went to the hospital (er) and was told that the doc had put a very long stitch through lots of layers of muscle which was causing my pain. It's best to go to the doctors better safe than sorry.

I think if you're having sharp pains a few weeks out, you should go to the doctor ASAP. You never know what it might be. Better safe than sorry.

Because you're describing it as a shart pain (instead of a general dull pain or soreness), I think you should get it checked out. Maybe call your centre and see what they think?
