So in the last 6 weeks I've had 3 episodes of intense abdominal pain and vomitting . They last about 6hrs then turn into about 24hrs of gastro.

I'm 18mos post op and down 190lbs.

I called the bariatric centre today and they mentioned a peraumbillical hernia but I'll need it diagnosed officially wih some tests(working on getting those)

just womderimg if anyone had any experience with this?? Can't figure out what brings on the attacks and am not interested in having any more!

Do you still have your gallbladder? Gallbladder issues after rapid weight loss are extremely common - your attacks sound similar to what I went through with mine.

Sorry, no experience with hernias.

I hope they get this figured out quickly for you!

Gallbladder was my drama last December and it was taken out quickly (thankfully!)

Well, you've ruled that out as a cause then! lol

Take care - I know it can feel a little like you're a ticking time bomb just waiting for the next attack to happen and praying like hell it doesn't.
