It seems to me that 37 lbs in two months is pretty significant. Your clothes should also be getting looser.

Edited to add. At 2.5 yrs I have little to no rice or pasta. They are fillers and I focus on my protein ten veg

i have to agree with karen!  and not sure why the doc's told you to "test the waters" already at only 2 months out! good luck!

37lbs is a lot to lose in 2 months! And don't forget, you will keep on losing. For your movie snack, you can cut up cubes of cheese and fruit. Keep up the good work!

I'm six months post surgery, and I have yet to eat rice or pasta.  Do you track what you're eating daily?  Although you've lost a good deal of weight, you might be sabotaging yourself with some foods that are probably not the best choices this early in the process.

Oh no I don't eat rice and pasta every day or even once a week... I'm just saying that I tyied it and everything was fine. I was advised by my dietitian to try these foods and see if I can tolerate it. I in no way eat unhealthy as I said before protein always comes first (chicken, fish, meat). I am always checking in with my dietition every month to make sure everything is ok and that I'm on the right track.

I'm glad to hear that.  But do you track what you're eating daily?

I do I have the my fitness pal app... It's great as it tracks everything for me. :) when I have my appointment all I do is hand her my phone and she sees everything. I also have an app for fluids. I was told that I'm not drinking enough so I have to work on that but it's so hard to drink constantly through the day but I keep trying.

The dietitian at toronto western hospital told me to try bread, pasta, rice etc... But not to incorporate it in my diet.... She said just try and see if you can tolerate it because some foods are harder to digest then others... The only thing I have trouble with is salmon. I follow exactly what my doctors say... I did not do the surgery to not be successful.... I work hard everyday to stuck to my diet.

I have trouble with salmon too. Mostly because I hate it. I'm offended by how something can look so pretty on a plate and taste so gawd-awful in my mouth.
