Good morning everyone,

Barb, I hate it when I hid the bad stuff but I know where it is...lol. Luckly, I don't buy it anymore. With DH out of town all the time for work, he doesn't want the crap food when he gets home. :) A party sounds like fun though!!!

I have pretty toes and fingers today! The mani/pedi was just what I needed!

Last night I sat at the kitchen table pitting cherries, (thankfully I have rubber gloves so I didn't stain my fingers!) I got cherries for 1.97 a lb, so bought alot, they are now nicely pitted and in my freezer!

Not sure what I am up to for the day, I am sure I can find something to do.

B- 1/2 banana w/ tbs peanut butter, protein coffee

S- Pure protein bar

L- 1 cup taco soup

D_ shrimp and veggie stir fry w/ sweet chili thai sauce (no rice)

S- 1/3 cup greek yogurt w/ blueberries

Be well everyone,

Tanya

Good for you re. the mani/pedi - it's such a pamper, isn't it?

Silly question: I've never frozen cherries before - what do you use them for once thawed?

No question is silly!

I freeze them and we use them in our shakes or I just put them in my water for alittle flavour. I don't thaw them for these uses, just put them in frozen.

Thanks for the info! I'll try it, once I'm able to actually buy cherries - have been twice to stores that had them on sale and they had none!

Good morning! Sounds like you're having quite a shindig! (Do people still use that word? lol) I find that "hiding" things that are a little too tempting, even though I know where they are, actually works for me. Out of sight, out of mind.

Did not sleep one lousy minute last night but I seem to be on an energy high for some reason. AND.... brace yourselves.. I just came back from my first day of the couch to 5K experiment.  I could actually do it, and I'm such a geek, I couldn't wait to get home to sync my Misfit to see how I did. Even though I was actually jogging, I still didn't make it to "very active minutes" - only "kinda active" LOL! Anyway, I actually sort of enjoyed it and I surprised myself a little with my ability to do it. SO.... I'll keep at it!

Housework, gardening and a trip to the arthritis specialist this afternoon. I *think* Andrew is coming for cards later, must confirm - I may need a nap prior to. lol My goodness I'm chatty this morning.

I'll bet you're right! Sometimes I question the amount of time I spend with my elderly parents. lol

Hey Karen. Strangely enough, with my FitBit, even though I practically never get the green bars (which they count as "very active minutes" on the time of day bar chart), in my daily totals, they still count the yellow bars as "very active minutes". So I'm using whatever total they give me for that, because they do call it "very active".  See pic below (if this works - haven't posted a pic on the new system).  See how it's yellow bars in the bar chart, which they seem to count as "moderate" but then they give me credit for 20 "very active minutes"?  Not sure why it works that way, but I guess it does.

Interesting! The Misfit doesn't give quite the same information (or quite as detailed) BUT I'm happy with "kinda active minutes" just the same (or maybe it's "pretty active" - now I need to check it. lol )
