The plastic surgeon I used for my panniculectomy last year, Dr. Cory Goldberg, was fabulous. I had only the panni done mind you, but my friend has used the same surgeon for post-WLS plastics (tummy tuck, thighs, etc etc etc) with excellent results.

The panniculectomy was completely covered by OHIP due to medical necessity, anything else would be self-pay. It's my understanding that OHIP will also cover a breast lift if medically warranted.

I am not from the Toronto area, but will be having my plastic surgery with Dr. Sarah Wong in Scarborough, (August 2014)

I chose her because she has had exstensive experience in panni removal and tummy tucks and is a breast augmentation/reduction specialist, her practice has a lot of female patients that have had breast reconstruction due to cancer, and my consult with her was amazing and he staff is awesome as well. As a female surgeon she made me feel perfectly comfortable, at this stage I am not sure if I am doing just the panni or if I will pay for a full upgrade.

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.

life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!.  Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!

I have had several constultations...the most recent one being 2 days ago and it was with Dr. Kesarwani on York Mills just east of Yonge St, in North York. HE IS AMAZING!!! He was the most kind and understanding out of all of the ones I saw. He showed me his work and I was pleased with all of it. He also has the most reasonable prices, and 2000.00+ cheaper than any of the ones downtown I saw.

I would recommend him for sure.

Referral sent Sept 2012 -Info Session -January 7 2013.  Surgeon (Dr. Huynh-HRRH) February 5 2013. Dr. Glazer, Nurse, SW and NUT -> March 25 2013, May 1st, Surgeon, Patts-June 6. SURGERY JUNE 26 2013!! 100 lbs gone in 4 months!

Hello everyone,

I am new here. My friend's client recommended Dr. Steve Samuel for my breast reduction surgery. I was searching for any information and reviews for this doctor and looks like it is not that much of anything about him online. Finally I found your forum. A few people mentioned Dr. Samuel and especially HeidiA's comments were very good. HeidiA, I would like to ask some questions about OHIP coverage, recovery time, scars, shape of your breast after the surgery. Thanks in advance for your answers.
