New Premier Protein Shakes

Premier has supposedly changed their formula again. I wonder whether anyone has seen them yet in any GTA Costco stores.  The last two boxes I bought with best before dates of October1, 1914 were chunky and I returned them.

The Mississauga North store finally had the Premier Vanilla in stock but I haven't tried them yet. Are they really sweet?

I find that if I leave them in the fridge they do get clumpy but now that I just leave them at room temp and add ice when I drink them.....they no longer clump up.

Hope the new formula isn't too much of a change as these are the only one I like.

Take care

I haven't read one review where people like the new version.  It is much thinner and weak in flavour. A lot of complaints from the US. Because it thin like water people are complaining that it doesn't fill them up that the older version. I have tried other proteins and found that issue exactly. After drinking one I was hungry 1/2 hour later.  Iam worried that I am going to have to start searching again for another protein I can tolerate and that has the thickness of a shake.

You may want to try the GNC Total Lean Shake if you end up not liking the Premier.  They are a bit more expensive but they are really good.  My fav is the strawberry.

I have a box of vanilla (exp. Feb/15) and a box of chocolate (Apr/15) and if they're a new formula, I haven't noticed. Tastes the same to me. As for the vanilla, I really like them and don't find them more sweet than I was expecting a protein shake to taste. They're nice whizzed in the blender with some frozen fruit too!

Edited to add: I just checked my boxes, they must be the "old" formula, no mention on the box of it being new. Which, from reading the online reviews, is lucky! lol

The Premier chocolate shakes are the ONLY shakes I have found that I can keep down.. and it was a struggle to do that before this change because they were thick. I LOVE the new change.. they are thinner but don't taste any different! They are a lot easier for me to get down now.

What are the expiry dates on the new version? all my expiry dates for the past 3 or so months have been beyond January 2015.  My opened box is March 2015  and I'm not seeing a difference in thickness or taste.

They are not supposed to get lumpy, clumpy at all - they are supposed to be silky, liquid. I was told that if they are clumpy, it is a result of curdling - employees at Costco admitted that the crates are left outside in the sun and this is the result which would explain the curdling before the expiration date. Advice - as soon as you purchase - open one - return for your money back if it is clumpy.
