Discouraged

I had my Rny on May 21st. In the 1st week and a half I have lost 10 lbs.  I have lost nothing since.  I'm a little discouraged as I have went through all of this and could have lost those same 10 lbs on WW. I am sticking to the plan and am seeing no results.  Just wondering if this had happened to anyone else?  I'm not very happy and very worried that this won't work for me.

Yes, it has happened to EVERYONE else. Besides the huge trauma of surgery, which in itself sends the body into holy sh*t mode, you've been pumped full of fluids during surgery, are having hormonal changes happen, your body thinks it's being starved with the lack of calories so is holding onto anything it can.... etc, etc, etc.

All normal. Patience!

Stalls are super common, mmona, don't give up! Sometimes the number on the scale isn't a real reflection of fat loss, anyway. I can tell my clothes are fitting better, but this week I haven't lost anything on the scale.

I had surgery on may 23 lost 14lbs, but have now been stalled for 3 days.  I have this nasty resistant metabolism that I have abused for over 35 years itch fad and yo-yo dieting.

I've even walked  10,000 steps the last 3 days!!!

Just know if you are doing everything right.... It's got to come off.

CHIN-UP.  We can do it

 SURGERY @ HRRH with Dr STARR on May 23/14 >>ORIENTATION WEIGHT 372lbs // OPTIFAST START WEIGHT 334lbs // SURGERY WEIGHT  319 lbs  // 3 MOS POST-OP 261lbs

Wow, I have never lost 10 lbs on WW in 1.5 weeks.

All kidding aside.  If the scale is upsetting you, put it away.  Take out your measuring tape and track your inches lost.  Or wait until you go for a medical visit to get weighed.  Please note that this will not be your only stall.  I had my first stall at 5 months out.  I knew though that it would happen.  I didn`t worry about it.  It just was.

You do that. Follow the plan and you will be just fine.
