nausea while on Optifast

I have been on Optifast for about 7 days now, and over the last 24 hours have been experiencing nausea.  I had the dry heaves yesterday, and today before I had my shake at lunch, I felt significant nausea.  I am drinking between 2 and 3 litres of water a day.  Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes! You are not alone. I was great the first 2 days, day 3-5 was horrid with other issues, 5-7 felt super great and then day 8 I felt like a mac truck hit me. I went off work early due to nausea, and other side effects. That being said, I would do it all again as 4 months post op I am down 80 pounds & couldn't be happier.

Not that I'm saying it's not normal, but contact your centre, maybe they can suggest something that you can do/take to help with it.

How are you preparing it? If you are adding other syrups etc. Try not using them for a while and see if it helps. I found the over load of artificial sweeteners made me sick
