lol....I will feel like one of my "thin" friends when I lose this re-gain....my head is really there for this....the big moment for me was sticking to clean eating when I didn't lose for 2 weeks....that got me over the hump mentally....now, I know I am going to get there....and it will take months....but that's OK.....so "only" 21 to go.....when I think about how much I had to lose pre-surgery....it is such a do-able amount

A totally do-able amount. And completely normal - I don't know too many people who haven't at least wanted to lose 10-20 pounds over their adult years. We are lucky in that we have restriction, as you mentioned in another post, from the pouch that "normies" don't have. For myself, I look mainly at my meal trends and when too many carbs have found their way back into my menu I cut back or cut out for a period of time 'til I feel I have it under better control. Speaking of which, I'll be doing a modified 5DPT in a couple of days - too many carb cravings!

As always, I'm proud of you.

I generally don't do the first 2 shakes only type days but I do enjoy the high protein, no carb re-set. The first couple days are the hardest for sure, carbs really are a *****

Thanks Barb. There was actually an error. I am just over 2 years. As Karen has said you are one of my thin friends. Just trying to lose 10 lbs has been a struggle. I realised this morning that when I was 287 I would not let myself go over 300. For me that was just too much. As though at this weight another 13 lbs would make a difference. I think for me right now the number 150 upsets me. Like I have let myself down. But I am getting used to this body and realise that although I do not want to gain more where I am right now isn't so bad. No matter how much weight I lose I will never be a size 6 LOL.

Pat, not counting my extreme loss-due-to-illness last year (that I have thankfully regained with good health), it took me well into my third year post-op to hit my lowest weight. The body has a mind of it's own sometimes. Just when I would think I was done losing, I would lose some more. Just now, at 8 years post-op, I feel like my body has found its happy place at 120 pounds.
