Hey guys! I am two weeks post op today and doing well with my walks and just wondering when people think it's okay to run? Or when did people start running? I don't want to shake up my new insides too badly. A little history, I use to run all the time before I had my kids and competed in numerous 5k's and 10k's before I gained all this weight. So when I walk my body naturally feels like it should start running or at least jogging. What do you guys think? Thanks!
I don't think that you need to be in a hurry to run. I'm thinking walking would do you well for the first 6 months and then when you need to increase intensity the switch to running would be good. It would also allow some of your weight to come off and be better for your joints.
Although im in a mere minion when it comes to running.

Walking is great the first 6-8 weeks out at least. Once you get the all clear and are feeling good you can start doing more intense workouts. I started running last spring after I had lost most of my weight, I really enjoy it and hope you can get back into it too eventually.
