Is there anyone on the pureed diet who can eat meat?? If so what kind?

thks for all the great comments and helpful replies to my post on April 25th
I can now tolerate scrambled eggs as long as it is at lunch and not dinner. Minestrone soup and unflavoured protein is good to. Love greek yogurt, apple sauce is ok take it or leave it, and can eat a laughing cow cheese. Sweet potato puree is ok too, not my favourite.
Have not yet tried meat? Has anyone else on the pureed diet had meat and if so what kind?
Regards,
Kelly

Hi Kelly:
I made chicken stew and beef stew and then used my immersion blender to blend it up. All the ingredients were there, all the taste and nutrients were in there, it just went down more like soup.
You don't have to hand make it, you could buy a can of stew to try it. My husband and I found this was a good way to have the taste and not worry about the meat issue while we went made it to the next stage.

I puréed meatloaf at that stage....

great ideas, I'm going for groceries. I seem to be craving meat so stew and pate are great things I will try.

Kelly
We made stew and I puréed it during that phase; all the goodness of stew and no chunks to irritate my new stomach!
I also puréed homemade chili, so I was getting protein in those meals/meats at this stage.
Greek yogourt (sometimes with a bit of applesauce) was wonderful too.
I stayed away from the carbs though, so I didn't do mashed potato or anything like that, though I am sure I could have.

Not meat, but I did have fish at that stage. I didn't like the thought of pureed meat, and fish doesn't have to be pureed because it's so flaky and tender, so I had that instead since it was only for a couple of weeks.
