Doing my happy dance

I just got the best news today ... I was approved for a panni covered by OHIP!!!

I am so freaking happy, I didn't think this would come through.  Looking forward to July, can't come any sooner :)

Thats awesome! I go for surgery tomorrow and I hope if I need a panni that I am approved as well. How long was the approval process?

It took about 2 months for the approval from MOH.  The referal process took the longest, it was almost 1 yr from the time the Ottawa WMC sent my referal until I got a call for an appointment.

Did you have to get referred or did you just call and make an appointment. You said it`s covered by OHIP - just the panni or are you upgrading to others things.

Sorry for the questions - I asked on here a while ago about plastics and only got info about Toronto and I`m not willing to drive there for surgery.

No problem :)     I got a referal from the WMC,  it took several months to get a call for an appt with the plastic surgeon.  I'm only getting a panni done right now, don't have the funds to upgrade to anything else.

If you're willing to pay out of pocket it doesn't take long to get into a see a plastic surgeon, Dr Borsuk also does none OHIP covered procedures. 

I go on may 5th for my plastics consult, I can't wait!! Congrats, totally amazing news!!
