I was wondering if anyone can help me out, First I want to say I don't smoke cigarettes, but on my birthday we went to Niagara Falls to have a great time, which we did but a whole bunch of the friends bough cigars and smoked them I never tried it before and obviously I did want to try since it was my bday lol, I didn't like it at all. Anyways I went for orientation on April 2 found out you can't smoke 3 months prior of taking the urine test and I had my urine test on April 7th. I am soo scared now that it's going to come back positive, I don't know how long nicotine stays in your body? Has anyone gone through this?

I found this, I hope it is helpful to you.
2. Nicotine in Urine
Cheap and easy to do, the urine test is the most common way to test for nicotine.
How to Test: A urine sample will be collected and a test strip is then dipped into the urine for 5 minutes. This test will be either positive (cotinine is present in the urine) or negative (no cotinine is detected).
Time: Nicotine and cotinine levels in the urine are usually not detectable within 3-4 days after stopping use of tobacco products. However, for passive smokers, urine nicotine test can be positive for as long as 15 to 20 days. Cotinine may also take longer to be excreted with wastes if menthol cigarettes are used.
If anything shows up in your urine test just tell them about the cigar "incident" and that you'll be staying away from cigars and clouds of second-hand smoke in the future!
