CitraCal

Just wondering if anyone is taking the CitraCal +D for their calcium vitamin?  I picked it up because it is a chewable and it does not say how much sugar is in them.  So just wondering.

Where did you find the chewable? I take regular Citracal non-chewable horse pills, I didn't think there was a calcium citrate in chewable form

Yes I got them yesterday at Shopper's Drug Mart.  I just cant see a reading as to how much sugar is in them.  I hope they are ok to use.

The only citracal chewables that i have seen are gummies. Unfortunately I thought we were to stay clear of the gummies. Pls check with your center, I might be wrong or things might have been changed

I looked up the info on google. I would not worry about the sugar but they are the wrong type of calcium. You need calcium citrate not carbonate. We do not absorb the carbonate

I thought the name citracal was a combo of citrate and calcium

They state on their website it is elemental calcium. Not sure what that means but I do not think it is citrate. You would be best to check with your centre.

TWH told me not to take Citrical - we need straight citrate, not tricalcium phosphate which is what the gummies are made up of. Try taking Citrical petites, they are citrate and a bit smaller than regular calcium horse pills ;) 

I thought this might be too good to be true. I'll stick to my big ole regular Citracals.
