Surgery Date
I met with my surgeon today, Dr. Maryanne Aarts who has scheduled me for July 16th 2014. I was hoping for something sooner than that, however I was put on the cancellation list just in case something sooner comes up.
Surgery is being done at Toronto East General and not at Toronto Western as I had thought. Also she works in a team with another surgeon and it will actually be him doing the surgery.
Im excited and nervous at the same time. Not looking forward to the 3 weeks I will be on optifast however Dr. Aarts believes that I will lose about 30 lbs on the optifast diet before surgery. I am excited to see the changes that my body will make and where the weight will actually come off.
Congrat's on getting your surgery date. Time will fly between now and July.
I'm going to be on Opti for 4 weeks starting April Fools day I'm thinking of it as an opportunity to get a head start on my weight loss and therefore a bonus. As for meal planning...the hardest choice on Opti will be chocolate or vanilla. I have been on Opti before and find it easy after the first couple of days. Hopefully you will have the same positive experience.

GRATZ on getting a date! That's wonderful!
Don't fret about the 3 weeks on Opti. I did it too, and lost 26 lbs in those three weeks... and I did two of those three weeks while on vacation in Florida with my (food-pushing!) family! Seriously, it's soooo worth it. You got this.
