Yes they give you ideas of things to eat, and one sample meal. I'm asking some of the things that other members have tried etc.

SURGERY!!!! FEBRUARY 11th 2014.

I pretty much followed what my centre told me and did so for about a year.

At 5weeks out, we had gone to Myrtle Beach and I had to figure out some good "car foods" that would last the drive there.

I packed some nuts and made sure to chew the heck out of them. We had stopped at Arby's at one point and I got an arby's melt, I ate about 3/4 of the the insides (meat and cheese) and did not eat the bun.

When we got to MB, one of the things I ate was wraps (it was chicken, cheese and lettuce) and cheese quesadillas when we went for dinner. We made breakfast and lunch at our motel room.

Other then that, I stuck to the meal plan TWH gave me. I took it with me on our trip.

We didn't get a meal plan, but I think I may have the TWH one downloaded on my phone. I have something from there....I'm off to check :-)

Hi,

My surgery was Feb 10th and I am struggling with variety or lack of it. I have included refried beans with cheese melted on it. Also I purchased some Wendys chili and have portioned it out. It has a lot of flavour. Also tried some crab cakes. I also made a thick black bean soup which I had some melba toast with. :)Mmmm

Congrats on your weight loss in such a short time...I have only lost 25 pounds since opti and wish I had a wls loss chart to know what is normal.

Excellent Chili recipe!!!

Firehouse Chili

2 tbsp oil

1.5- 3 lbs extra lean ground beef, chicken or turkey... I like mine MEATY! :)

1 lg onion

1 clove garlic

1.5 tsp salt or to taste

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

1/4 tsp cumin

1/4 oregano

1.5-2 tbsp chili powder

2 (10oz) cans rotel tomatoes, UNdrained

1 (8oz) can tomato sauce

2 (16oz) cans kidney beans, UNdrained

Heat oil in large skillet. Add meat, stirring to break up. Coo****il brown.Add onion, garlic and coo****il onion is limp. Drain grease and place in 5quart crock pot. Add all seasonings to the meat mixture. Break up tomatoes, if not already diced in can. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and kidney beans to the pot. Mix well. Cook all day in crock pot. If it becomes to thick, you can add a little tomato juice.

This makes about 18 -1cup servings

This recipe is very easy to adjust to your tastes ... If you like it not so spicy cut the seasonings or if you like it spicy, add more seasonings. I like to add more ground meat as well :)

We also put a little bit of shredded cheese when served!

Also, I like to make ham or turkey and cheese roll ups... I get cracker barrel cheese and slice some off the block and wrap deli meat around it. Sometimes I slice a dill pickle and put it in there too

For something different...

1/2c plain greek yoguart

1/2c cottage cheese

1tsp vanilla extract

1 splenda packet (or sweetner of choice)

Blend very well together until smooth! Enjoy it alone or add a little fresh fruit to it
