Foods...?

Hi everyone, I will be 5 weeks post op on Tuesday and I was just wondering at this point what kinds of foods everyone was eating. I'm finding I'm sticking to the same foods Greek yogourt, pea soup or mushroom soup not a big fan of other cream soups, Melba toast with laughing cow cheese. Oatmeal or cream of wheat at breakfast. Cottage cheese which I am starting to get sick of already and I loved it before surgery. For meats I've had chicken, turkey, ham and roast beef(first time last night) each once, I'm not too fussy on the meats and they feel like they just sit in my pouch, and I cut them up teeny tiny. Also have had mashed potato and squash a few times. 

I need some variety, I WAS able to eat eggs, but a couple weeks ago I had a bad experience with them and now I can't tolerate them. 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 

I have also noticed that my appetite has gone to next to nothing, I'm pretty much eating because I have to. I eat three times a day. No desire for snacks.

Im glad you posted this, I was just saying the same thing to my husband last night. For how little we eat, I think we need variety lol.

What kids of foods are you eating at this point? Your a week ahead of me. 

Sometimes I think for me it is that I'm scared to try some things as well. Fear of intolerance, gas etc. If it's bad for me etc...

Try Lou's Meats (the beef au jus is deslish! AND its precooked and moist.. just need to warm it up.. ), dont be scared to try new things... take one small bite... chew well and put your fork down for about 1 minute... you will know pretty quick if it is not going down well.. if it doesnt go down well, stop and try something else!  Its not uncommon to not be hungry at this point!  Enjoy it... hunger does come back eventually... you got this girl!  Sounds like you are doing awesome!

You can buy them at Wal-Mart, No frills etc... they are precooked meats (pre cooked in gravy.. so very moist)... I use them to make Philly Cheese steak Won ton cupcakes... but it was one of the first meats I tried and went down very well!

I am sure that HRRH gives you a meal plan for each stage... Each centre gives one out. Follow the plan they gave you, it's best to do so.
