I am just a few days short of three months out from my surgery and I'm down a little more than 70lbs. I never would have believed it was possible. I'm so happy with this success.  On the 19th of this month (3months) I am joining the gym and going to start really working to tone up and increase my weight loss potential.

Thanks to all for all the support and frienship, its quite a journey, and I'm having a great time.

Surgery Scheduled for December 19, 2013.  MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME!

I started at 314.  I can't believe I was ever that big!

Its a funny reality really.  I catch myself thinking, "why have I only lost 70 pounds, I should have lost more by now" and yet, when I was 314 pounds I was celebrating every 2 pound loss like it was the best thing I had ever done.  I often have to remind myself that it has only been 3 monhs (not even really) and I am still working towards where I want to be.

I only eat real food now.  There is nothing processed and no premade meals, everything is made from scratch, and I have discovered that I actually enjoy trying these new receipes and there are a lot of really healthy dishes that I enjoy far more than I ever did the giant bowl of pasta I was eating before.

If you are looking for some inspiration on recipes, search barriatric recipes on Pintrest, there are thousands and some that are really wonderful (some I have no idea how they qualify as a barriatric dish, but you learn to just overlook them)

Way to go!  Don't forget the NSVs that you've accomplished in the last while as well they are just as important as those 70lbs!

Thanks Cathy,

You are so right about that. The first time I crossed my legs without even thinking about it, I tie my shoes without having to hold my breath or twist in weird ways and just this morning, I went into a meeting and all the "big" chairs were taken, but I sat on a fold out chair, I fit just fine and never once did I panic that it wouldn't hold my weight!  There are so many, I am blessed.
