Congratulations. Love the quote on the bottom of your page. I am a little discouraged by the length of time it took you to get through Ottawa. I am in Ottawa too and have only attended orientation so far. I realize it takes time....would you say your timeline was typical. Thanks.
Are you completing everything through Ottawa? I live in Kingston and when I started the process, Kingston wasn't open yet, so, I had everything done through Ottawa. Two of my friends started the process through Kingston one year after me and had their surgeries before me, lol! Just a month or two, but, still, they got in first even though I started the process first.
The other thing about my journey is that I was on hold for about 6 months due to another health concern. I had finished all of my appointments by June 2012 but could not move forward with meeting the surgeon and pre-op education class until January 2013. Once I was cleared to move ahead, it moved very quickly for me I had my pre-op class Feb 6/13, met the surgeon Feb. 15/13, started Opti Feb. 21/13 and had surgery March 12/13.
Hang in there-it is totally worth the wait!
