fitbit flex-Aquafit??
Hi Laurie,
I posted this in the TCC thread too, but, when I saw this thread I thought I should post it here too :)
I have a chart that I use that converts other activities into miles.
It doesn't have aquafit, but, it lists swimming. For easy pace 24 minutes equals one mile, for moderate pace 16 minutes equals one mile and for vigorous pace 12 minutes equals one mile. Maybe this can help?
Referral to Ottawa: Jan/11 Info Session: May/11 Nurse: Feb/12 Dietician/Behavourist/Abdominal Scan: Apr/12 Pre-op Education Class: Feb. 6/13 Meet Surgeon Feb.15/13 Surgery with Dr. Raiche March 12/13!!
The race isn't given to the swift nor the strong, but it's given to the ones who endure it to the end...
I wear my Fitbit One in my pony tail on top of my head during my 1 hour aquafit class and for the last 10 classes I averaged 3500 steps give or take for each class.(taking into consideration the walk to and from the changing room to the pool) as well unless my feet actually hit the bottom of the pool I don't think it counts a step. so I am getting way more exercise but it certainly adds to my daily count
That's hilarious Kerry!! When I had my One, I put plastic wrap around it and pinned it to my bathing suit when I was doing running laps. I think the extra skin on my thighs might have counted for a few extra steps lol
Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
Thanks everyone for your input about this. I sure wish my fitbit zip was waterproof. I stuck mine in a baggy once, bad bad idea. It was floating around, I thought under my boob was a grand idea considering my bathing suit literally pancakes them in place, well, nope, I found it floating in another lane when I was making my way back the lap in the pool, lol, funny yes, embarrassing yup! It didn't do anything really for pool laps but maybe when I try aquafit I will stick it in my hair!
