RNY  4 Years 11 Months Post Op

Morning

Up at my usual early hour today.....I really like having an hour or so before the day gets going to review my food and some of the posts on OH......its a good habit for me.....

STEPS - 9800

EATS

B - 2 large mugs of coffee

     Premier protein shake

 

S - crustables p/b and jelly

 

L - Ham - cheese - and pickle roll up

 

D - Slow cooker beef stew with veggies.....yummm

 

S - skinny cow fudgesicle

 

MYFITNESSPAL totals for the above menu are:  Calories - 1,156,  Carbs - 87 grams,  Fat - 46 grams,  Protein - 93 grams

 

All water....extra today as I feel "salty".....all vits

Hi Barb and everyone! Yes, Barb, it's very helpful to come here in the morning, and I'm glad to be able to make time to do it again.  Things have gone so much better the last couple of days when I've planned my meals.

Today: Going to try to get some stuff done around the house, and probably also go to Costco to pick up a couple of things today.  My husband is taking a course downtown, so I'm going to meet him there, then go out for an early dinner with him before we go to a documentary movie tonight. The movie starts at 6:30, and I've picked out a nearby restaurant so I can plan my food at it by looking at their menu online, but I'll be eating a bit early, at 5:30 p.m. or so.  I'm also going to bring a Quest bar and carrot sticks with me to the movies so I'm not tempted to eat popcorn and junk.

16 MONTHS POST-RNY

B - Egg and cheese slice on 1/2 of a toasted multigrain flat bun (ran out of P28, will pick up more today)

S - 1/2 cup ricotta/vanilla/splenda mix, 1/2 cup mixed frozen berries

L - Leftover homemade beef stew

S - Single serving of Iogo yogurt and 15 mixed nuts in the shell

D - Mussels marinara (I'm assuming there will be around 24 in the serving - I love mussels, they're almost pure protein, and you can eat so many for so few calories!)  Will do my best to resist bread - I'll ask the server not to include it.

S - Quest cinnamon bun bar, and cut carrots to graze on during movie

TOTALS: 93g protein, 58g fat, 97 carbs, 31g fiber (wow!), 1329 calories

I agree with you Barb. I feel the need to log my food and post here. If I don't it's nagging at the back of my mind until I do it. It's a good habit and it's helped me immensely!

Had my 3 month check up yesterday. Lots of compliments from everyone there -my NUT, NP, and Social worker - even the grumpy secretary!

No red flags; no need to meet until my 6 month. I met with the NP and she reviewed my food journal (thank you ‘what are you doing/eating’ thread and fitnesspal for making that so easy for me). She asked if I wanted to talk to a NUT and I said no, if she felt my menu was good….so just her and then the blood tests. I will get a call if anything comes out of the blood tests.

Met my roommate there – she seems to be doing well.

B- premier protein shake

S- 30 kirkland premium mixed nuts

Lunch –my version of the pickle/ham/cheese roll up (they didn’t have spears at Costco)!

S- babybel light, turkey pepperette

Dinner –greek burger, tzatziki sauce – cut up orange pepper

FITNESS PAL Calories 898 Carbs 23 Fat 53 Protein 97

Morning, i have been sick with a flu since Tuesday so i havent been eating much..Starting to feel better today and back at work..

B- tea and some chicken broth with 5 crackers..

S- lots of water.

L- broth with some chicken pieces in it ..See if it sits well.

D- not sure of the rest..

Good morning all. I just missed my streetcar this morning. Could not see one coming so decided to start walking. Well it seems they have been short turning some of the cars and this is why when I miss one I have to wait so long. So got on an empty one. From now with the weather improving I will walk to the turn to see if there are more cars. Probably got me at least another 1000 steps.

Another post and run today. Laundry, groceries, doggie walk, and the list goes on. Hubby will be home tonight and then gone Monday morning for 2 weeks this time... :(
