Good morning Barb. Rushing back to the sun LOL. Can't say I blame you. The snow this morning was not welcome. Off shortly for a walk with the dog. My kids and their others are coming for dinner tonight. I look forward to that. I bought a new scale. It seems accurate and shows I still need to lose 4 of the 5 lbs I gained at Christmas. I am definitely not active enough in the winter. These constant head colds are not helping. Although that is probably just an excuse.

Pat I think you are doing great....you are hard on yourself...IMO......the good news is you lost a pound of Christmas weight.....you did not gain.....it IS tougher in the winter when you want to hibernate......

hopefully only a few more weeks until the weather breaks

RNY, 1 Year Post Op

Good morning, everyone!  Today is a busy day with kids' activities.  I'm going to do my run at the track today while my daughter skates on the rink below.  I haven't done that in awhile but won't be able to find the time to go to the gym so thought it was a good way to fit it in.

Here's my eating plan

B - Banana/egg pancakes (2 eggs, 1 banana blended and cooked like a pancake), Back bacon

S - Protein bar

L - Tuna salad, carrots and light dressing for dip

S - Pepperettes, cheese string

D - Chicken with asparagus

S - Cottage cheese with cinnamon and Splenda, SF Jello

Totals - 1635 calories, 94g carbs, 65g fat, 168g protein

Have a great day!

Thank you for mentioning the banana egg pancakes - I looked up the recipe and it looks great and only 2 ingredients - wow!  Have you ever tried it with half a banana?  Would it still work you think?

I think you could do half a banana and just one egg - even at a year out I can rarely eat the whole batch with two eggs and a whole banana!

No problem!  Definitely use a blender instead of mashing, and I find they cook best with coconut oil.  Enjoy them!

I am pre-op

Had a bad food morning and afternoon yesterday, where I ate a turkey sausage breakfast sandwich from Tim Horton's and an Oh Henry bar as a snack after grocery shopping. My hormones often cause these horrible cravings when I have my period, so maybe I should have waited and done my shopping in a few days? The good thing is that I was able to get back on track for dinner and evening snack, having a ham sandwich on low carb bread and some sf chocolate pudding. Still having those cravings this morning so I am staying in today to help me stay on track.

B - Low carb high protein toast, peanut butter, banana slices

S - Apple

L - Homemade protein shake with frozen berries and greek yogurt

D - baked chicken with mushrooms

Drinks: crystal light, decaf tea, Dasani sf pink lemonade (yum)

Gonna take it easy this morning and read a book, do some meditation, take a nice hot bath with some essential oils, maybe do a few beauty treatments.  I find this time of the year very difficult until spring arrives, so I am going to try to lift my spirits this morning and afternoon. I will save my chores until early evening so they do not interfere.  Have a nice day everyone!
