My doctor just told me last week about a new rub on product called LIVRELIEF that is not Nsaid and can be used by us RNYers for joint pain.  There is also one for varicose veins.  Haven't tried it yet but looked it up on line and hoping to find it today.

I will try to find this or use Patm's suggestion of Tylenol Arthritis.

if you find something that actually works, keep me posted! ive been on heavy duty narcotics for almost 2 years. only got the RNY to help out  my knee pain but guess what? since i can't take the NSAID's anymore, my pain is actually worse! one of the surgeons told me to use Voltaren emugel, but i guess im glad i didn't. so far, nothing has worked. im on a cane or crutches every day and 0 exercise because i can hardly walk, even tho im down 70lbs.
