No problem drinking ... is that a problem
I had my RNY on Tuesday and I haven't been having any problems drinking 2 litres. I haven't tried but I think I could even drink more. I was expecting discomfort and pain when the fluid hit my stomach but it's been OK. So now I'm wondering if I can drink too much or stretch the pouch. Could the pouch be too big? I'm happy that I have no discomfort but everything just feels too normal. I'm at Guelph so I'm on clear fluids until next Wednesday will things feel different when I start eating yogurt and oatmeal? I'm really wondering when I will start feeling full????

Thanks for the link! It makes me feel better. It's just that you read about people having issues drinking, having pains or feeling like they are going to throw-up. When I don't experience the same restrictions I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Now that you are on the full fluids stage does it feel different then clear fluids?

Full Fluids is ok, The oatmeal and cream of wheat 1/2 cup fills me right up. I used to love milk, I used to drink tons of it < maybe one of the reasons that caused me to gain weight, tonight I had 1/2 a juice glass of milk and still have a quarter of it left. This morning I couldn't even finish my cream of wheat. I left about 1/4 of it. I still drink lots of water, have jello and tea. Try not to worry too much. You will do just fine.
I had no issues with drinking... eating was a whole other story. I still don't like the way oatmeal and cream of wheat feel.
I don't get that satisfied full feeling anymore it has been replaced with discomfort and a blah feeling. If I ignore this sign I start getting a runny nose usually followed by sneezing and if I have ate too much I will be in pain and or throwing up.
I swear the over production of mucus is my body saying "hey stupid stop and here is the lubricant to help you throw up.".
What works for me is a 2 bite rule... I take 2 bites and wait a few minutes to see if what I am eating agrees with me.

I'll enjoy having no weird feelings until next Wednesday. Then I guess I'll see what oatmeal does. It's completely crazy to me that I can be sustained on nothing but a bit of juice, water, broth and SF jello for a whole week. How am I even functioning??? :)

I'm out all of 4.5 weeks, but I haven't had any issue drinking or eating. I get full easily and I'm following the plan but I have had any nausea , vomiting or anything. I can easily drink all my water and swallow all my meds. I've met my protein intake since day one. Which I left the hospital consuming 3 shakes day. At two weeks I started soft foods, tuna, chicken, fish, eggs, ground beef...all easily consumed .
I think my weight loss will be slower but i think I'm lucky too!
