Now that the gas has passed.....
I am feeling much better!! LOL
Had my surgery Tuesday, spent quite a while in recovery due to pain and nausea...finally made it to my room at around 7:30. Had a good first night. But by the 2nd night the gas build up had started and nothing was passing nor did I have the urge to. I walked and sipped and walked and sipped for two day....to the point my nurse told me stop as I was going to pu**** too far. They figure it was because I had the bypass and gallbladder done at the same time.
This morning things finally started moving!! YAHOOOO!!!!! I feel so much better.
Now to get this eating and drinking under wraps. Lol...it's hard to eat when you have no appetite to, but I keep plucking away at it very few hours and keep sipping my water throughout the day.
Its been quite the experience, but I have no regrets!!
Thank you so much everyone!!
Yes it's amazing how much better you feel once things start moving. Today I have had
Breakfast 1/2 serving (15ml) of protein shake, sips of water (felt bloated. So I did the apple sauce with senokot as the nurse told Me when I met with her back in December that a lot of patients take it when they get home so they don't get constipated....I think that is what got the gas a Rollin LOL)
Snack
protein shake,
Lunch
Protein shake, tomato soup, yogourt (did much better)
Snack
protein shake and a bit pudding that I used to take my Tylenol.
Supper
will probably be more soup with protein shake and pudding if I can handle it. Feeling pretty full right now.
I have aver also been sipping throughout the day.
