I had my surgery (bypass) on Dec 6  I had a lot of throwing up until about 2-3 weeks ago.  I still do a little bit but not a lot. Anyways I was at the family dr's office the other day and I got someone to weigh me.  According to their scales i gained 7lbs in 2 1/2weeks!  Is this normal?

Maybe your scale  is out. Every skill will weigh differently. My home scale is 5 pounds out from my doctor.

The biggest causes would be different scales and water retention.  If you had 4 weeks of not retaining calories, then starting to add calories, it might put it up a bit.  I'd say it's more the difference in scales.  Weigh yourself on the scale you usually use to see if there really is a 7lb gain.

Thank you.  I am just been feeling like  I am doing something wrong but I can't figure out what it is.  Feeling very down about it, I was feeling so good about the weight I had already lost then this.  I am hoping it is a scale issue  my husband keeps saying don't worry about it until I see the surgeon for my check up and get weighed on his scale like I have been doing.
