Tomorrow is my ONE Year Surgeversary
I cannot believe a year has passed. One year ago today I was a nervous wreck.
Today I know it was the best thing I could have done for myself. I have had so many positive changes in my life. Not just the numbers on the scale. I do love the numbers though all 110 of them forever gone from my life.
I love the extra energy, the confidence I feel. I don't try to hide and blend in the crowd anymore. I do have a ways to go but I am enjoying each step of the way. I can go up and down a flight of stairs without huffing and puffing, and if I forget something I go back up the stairs instead of trying to get someone else to go for me. I have very minimal aches and pains in my joints. I find myself dancing around the house while doing chores instead of sitting down to rest every few minutes.
I am much happier now and I have a large support group with my family, friends and coworkers. At first I felt ashamed and lazy and embarrassed that I couldn't do it on my own. I thought people would judge me negatively. Now I feel very different about it. People have been so supportive and if they want to judge me now I don't give a darn.
I still have a few love hate relationships with certain foods and I try to avoid them. Pasta is my worst enemy, so if I do indulge its only a few spoonfuls.Istillhave a bit of trouble getting all the water in but all in all LIFE IS AWESOME!
