Nuvaring

Hi... I posted this in the sex forum but no replies. 
Does anyone have experience with Nuvaring? I've been on it a year now and for the last 4-5 months I've been spotting a couple days before I'm scheduled to remove the ring. 

Also, does anyone know how to change your cycle using nuvaring?  I've read that you can keep it in 4 weeks, one week off then resume 3 weeks one week out again or you can just do rings back to back but this could lead to spotting. 

I have vacation coming up in March and looking to not have my period or spotting on vacation.

I am on the Nuvaring and I sometimes also have spotting a couple of days before my period is due. Yes it is normal! 

and you are right about being able to leave it in for 4 weeks.. but any time you change the cycle you will likely have spotting that is normal. its just something that you will have to consider when wanting to switch up your cycle.
