Final Meals before Optifast

Closure...that's what it is.

So last nights supper was vegetable stir fry with seasoned and broiled pork with a side of rice.  I don't think that was too bad but when I got home last night I ended up having a salad with Olive Garden dressing. I am really going to miss the dressing!

Today my husband told me that he will buy me anything I want for supper....but I think I will stick with making my own turkey burgers.

I have had a few things over the last few weeks that weren't so great and now I have gained a couple of pounds.  I know, I know!!!!

Has anyone gained before surgery?  Did they get ticked at you?

The week before I started opti I got all my fav food ... pizza, fries, poutine, pop, hit up my fav tex mex restaurant, even tried to get a big mac - but they messed up the order lol (never got it)

It's natural to want to eat the foods that have brought you some joy and comfort .... Every once in a while I'll still treat myself with some of these foods, but in very significant smaller quantities, not the big mac though - too scared to find what would happen lol

They're arent your finals meals, they are the ones leading to your neew lifestyle and new journey ... enjoy them :)

I will probably get flamed suggesting this LOL.. order a DLM. (they actually have a button on their register to punch this in and it is a commonly ordered non-menu item) It is a McDouble "dressed like a mac" I have treated myself to one on occasion when I have brought my 19 yr old son for McD's.. i take the top bun off and normally cant even eat the whole thing still.. but it is MUCh smaller than a big mac hehe

I still have a couple of months to go until I start Opti, but I have an idea of what my final meal will be.  Actually, not the meal, but rather the restaurant(s).
