OHIP questions PLEASE HELP

At TEGH last year they do 2 surgeries and have one semi-private room as the default for gastric bypass patients.

 I did not know this and asked to pay for a private but they put me in the semi-private they would have put me in anyway.

A few weeks later I got a bill for the semi-private but after a long telephone conversation in which I explained I asked for a private or a regular (was not willing to pay for sem-private) they dropped the charge.
