So my surgery is being covered by OHIP but what I am wondering is if my room will be covered as well???

Yes... unless you request a semi or private room, then you will have to pay the extra cost. I did not upgrade and only had 2 people in my 4 person room for the first night and 1 other person on night two.  Both were pretty quiet so it was not an issue.  In some centres the bariatic surgeries go into semi private automatically without paying for the difference.

If you are a resident of Ontario and have OHIP  your ward room is covered .  

always sign ward...then if you get a semi-private or private....you are not responsible for the charges.  

I had my surgery done in Ottawa and you are in only for 2 to 3 days max...I was 3..because of minor complications.  I was in a private room because of my MRSA STATUS

in Ottawa the other patients were in semi private rooms...but still make sure you sign ward...otherwise they WILL charge you.
