scar treatment?

i have a really nice, fat. juicy scar from my surgery.  it is the incision where they did most of the work.  all of my other scars are rather nominal, but this one is raised and purple. no infection or anything, just really big.

any vets out there found something really good to diminish the appearance of scars?  the way this one looks, i think this one is going to be pretty tough to etch out.

thanks in advance.

I have had a couple like this from previous surgeries.  In my experience they have eventually gone to pink and then to a shade lighter than my skin tone.

did they stay raised or did they go down and smooth eventually?

I also had one particularly big one. I called it "Big Mama" hehe

Time will fade it, but Bio Oil helps. I used it twice a day, every day, religiously for over a year. I still pretty much put it on at least once a day. I'm really happy with how my scars have faded.

I'm using 100% shea butter on mine. Been since week 3. I'm AMAZING how awesome my scars are doing. They are smooth, flat.

I get it from here

Take vitamin E capsules open them and rub the oil on your scar with time it will fade. I had an uncle who wa**** by a train and his dr told him to use this treatment and in time we could barely see the scars on his face
