My Life Changes Tomorrow
on 1/13/14 7:11 am
I start 3 weeks of Optifast tomorrow. Right now I am feeling like I am saying good bye to the person that I have always known myself to be. It is bitter sweet. I say this as of tomorrow my eating habits and life as I know it now will never be the same.
I have wanted this for so long and now that it is here, it is kind of surreal. Has anyone else felt this way? I am so looking forward to meeting the new me.
I'm on Day 7 of Opti and I could not be happier with my decision for the surgery. I am tired of watching life pass me by. I am so excited to participate in life again. Even 100lbs off would be amazing!!!!!!!!!.
I am not going to lie, the first few days of Opti are rough. I had a splitting headache day 2-4 and have off and on GI upset/diarrhea/constipation. I just keep my eye on the prize. I have started my journey and I can not wait until the next phase next tuesday.
All the best
Robyn

I wish you well during the next three weeks! I am counting on you doing great so that I know I can do it when my turn is here. I noticed your PATTS is Jan 20 - I will be at Guelph at 2:00 for my post- op class on that day. Maybe we will be there at the same time and can say hello!
I felt the same way Sunday night - I started my Opti yesterday so I know EXACTLY how you feel.
I was elated this morning to find that the yarn I ordered finally came in - I can keep my hands and mind busy and not think about food!
Have you got yourself some flavouring for the shakes? I got a few from Loblaws from the baking aisle and ordered a couple of sugar free syrups online from thelowcarbgrocery.com
You can do it!
