So I am 1 week post op and I have laid around long enough. I don't plan on working out like a machine until I get clearance from the surgeon but I want to start a low impact cardio workout ie. treadmill and elliptical. If I'm gonna do this right I need to start with the good habits now while I'm off work so that they become just that...habits. out with the bad in with the good. Having this surgery means so much more to me then I thought. I want to be successful and fear my own self sabotage. So I need to do this right!!

Surgery January 6, 2014!

I manage a fitness facility and have had WLS Surgery as well - i was told nothing except walking for the first 4 weeks - as previous poster has mentioned - your body just had a major change- let it heal properly before getting going on a program - remember - it didn't take one or two days to put the weight on - its not gonna come off in one or two either

Please be careful... I was told "no sweating" until my surgeon cleared me, I see her this week.

Wow, you are moving right along. I am attempting to do a load of laundry tomorrow. I can't even imagine going to the gym but it goes to show you our bodies all heal differently!
