After surgery Dr. Pereira-Hong gave me prescription stool softeners. I see that some people get opti-trots.. I did not, I got the opposite since I was still pre-op I just took a stool softener with a laxative (Senokot-S) but I did not ask them if it was ok.
I would probably hold off on buying it.. you may get opti-trots and after surgery you will likely be prescribed stool softeners.
I went out and bought all these expensive liquid vitamins and minerals just to not use any of them for the first month (Guelph tells you when you can start at your one month post op) and I still don't use 1/2 of them because they are not needed. Also liquid form is not necessary... pills are fine and there is no need to crush them.
