I am sure it's been covered numerous times but I can't find a way to search for topics on this forum :(

what exactly happens there ? Should I get my story and expectations straight ?

There is a blue bar at the top of your screen and on the right hand side you will see your user name ie 4 Jane well more towards the left you will see a symbol that resemble a magnifying glass if you find that you have found the search button.  I am very challenged with computers but I think that will get you there

Hi Jane Thank you, i found a few useful topics. So, my appointment is with Dr.Sohi. Does it mean he will be doing the surgery as well ?

Saw Dr. Sohi today. Mixed feelings. My impression is that he doesn't even consider VSG, which I was hoping for, saying that there more drastic complications than with the bypass, unless I pay for it myself. Anyone did that ? Also, he said when I get cleared by all specialists, he will see me again. Does it mean that he will be doing my surgery as well ? :(

I know in my own case, the surgeon i had a consult with is the surgeon that will be doing my surgery.  I was also told of all the different types of surgeries but told that in my case the RNY is the gold standard and preferred surgery.  I am going for my surgery on Monday.  Good luck to you on your journey.

thank you for reply. I don't think there will be a continuation to this journey. I didn't want the RnY and Dr. Sohi has very mixed reviews and two board members had complications just past month. This is not shiny a wonderful CHANGE i was hoping for :(

Switch Centres. Guelph and Toronto Western entertain a conversation about the VSG. Keep fighting lady!

As I began to love myself I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health - people, food, situations, things, and anything that drew me down and away from myself. At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism. Now I know its "love of oneself". Charlie Chaplin
