What are you eating/doing today? (Tuesday)
Hi everyone. Hope Barb is enjoying her trip south, and that we're all surviving the icky cold. :)
As it turns out, yesterday was not my first day back to work, nor today. A family member was admitted as an inpatient to TEGH yesterday and I spent the day dealing with that yesterday. This morning I have an appointment at TWH, and then this afternoon I have to finish making arrangements for the family member's stay at TEGH. Threw me off quite a bit yesterday, including not being able to go swimming yesterday morning (not a great way to start off the Trans Canada Challenge) but I'm still slightly under 180 despite some pathetic comfort eating with hubby last night. Tonight I'll be visiting that family member and then later tonight I'll be going to a meeting. So it's going to be a very full day. And unfortunately lots of driving instead of walking since I'm running a million errands.
Today, I'm up early and planning my meals and snacks, even though I'm going to be on the road much of the day, so that I'm not tempted by the crap food in both hospitals. At least I'll be home for lunch. I'm also hoping to get a bit of grocery shopping in since I'm running a bit low on a few basics. Like light ricotta, which basically means my life is over, LOL.

Good morning Michelle. Sorry to hear of your family member. Hope all is under control. I hope Barb made it through okay. Lots of bad weather out there.
I did 8041 steps yesterday. Realised if I am going to do 35 km in a week I need to use my bike. It took me 1/2 hour for me to walk 1 km on the treadmill! I think I have the computer for my bike working again so that will help.

Hi everyone!
So getting in to work was enough exercise for me today, let me tell you! 1 km along the icey unploughed "sidewalk" adjacent to the very windy 401 was absolutely brutal this morning. Drivers don't seem to realize that there is no sidewalk so my walking on the opposite side carefully dodging all the ice is not by choice ... beeping their horns doesn't help me lot. Got to work cranky and frozen.
I'll stop ranting now.
B - bowl of Cheerios w 1/2 banana, large coffee
S - 1% cottage cheese w frozen raspberries and granola, clear tea
L - Afghan chicken kebab w salad
S - protein bar, 2nd coffee
D - homemade Greek moussaka w lamb
Stay warm! And think of the homeless.
Good morning,
Going spinning today. And went to the gym last night, so feeling pretty good. I could only do 1 mile on the treadmill...I hate the treadmill, so I did 20 minutes on the elliptical (which was also boring) and then joined in on a Zumba class for 20 minutes (had to pick up the kids from cubs, so couldn't stay). It was fun.
Coming up to 3 years post-RNY
B: protein coffee (heated almond milk in microwave, then added protein and stirred with a fork, sit for five minutes and then put in my Contingo and filled with coffee)
S: Special K protein with milk (not a usual choice for me, but having it before spinning, I shall see how I do. I usually don't do well with cereal)
L: sirloin tip with mixed greens and roasted onions
S: rest of lunch
D: stir fry chicken with bok choy, peppers and onions
Calories are a bit low for me, especially with a high intensity class. I will find something with fibre to have tonight.
