Good morning! I hope everyone had a great weekend.
I've had major cravings to snack after dinner (8 pm)—I bought some soybeans in pods and had some last night. It seemed to do the trick. What do you think ...is this a slippery slope? good idea? bad idea? --- or should I avoid after dinner snacking altogether and drink water?
B-Oatmeal with ground flaxseed
S- Skinny Latte
L- 1% LF cottage cheese and ketchup
D- Minced turkey and diced tomatoes
S- Edamame soy beans in pods

I find that I HAVE to HAVE protein before bed!
I generally plan my foods for the day and eat when I feel hungry.
At TWH they say (or used to say) B,S,L,S,D,S... I see that you aren't having the evening snack, was that by choice? I find I have to eat every 2-3hrs, or I get cravings, and sometimes start feeling ill. I don't like that, so I feed my body
How much water are you drinking in a day? The more the better (to a point) but at LEAST 8 cups per day
Hmmm, I just noticed that you only have 628 cals for the day.. that's all? I would think that you need to add something else FOR SURE! You probably should aim for 750-800cals at this stage. 4months out, right? I was eating about 850-900 at 4months out
BELOW GOAL Happily maintaining 4.5 years out!! Life is GREAT!!! Had my plastic surgery!
Thank you for your response Leanne. You're right - today I am 4 months post-op!! Didn't even realize it!
I do struggle with the water -- 6 glasses is my daily amount. My 3 month (although it will be over 4 months) appointment will be in a couple of weeks and will definitely clarify what my calorie intake should be at this stage . In my reading on the VSG forum, 600-800 cals a day was the suggested amount. Weightloss is much slower with VSG, and my worry is if I up my cal intake my weightloss will slow down even more.
I will up my water and end the day with protein. Thank you for your suggestions.
Morning, its been quite the 2 weeks. I have a bladder infection now so i am on meds form that. A family friend passed away in her sleep o Dec 30th so i have a funeral today at 2 pm.
B- some protein shake and a tea.
S- a small orange.
L- not sure .
S-
D- chicken stir fry with lots of veggies.
S- roasted chick peas..
Have a good day.. Krista..
