Ya and pi** off the powers that be....I don't think so! They have their reasons for not wanting us to use them and I like to follow the doctors instructions.

I used them three years pre-op (you are pre-op, are you not? with no post-op experience on what you are able to eat, as yet?) on the advice of my endocrinologist as a part of a treatment plan for diabetes. The shakes allowed me to develop the regular habit of eating breakfast, something I had not been able to do in 60 years.
As an assist in continuing good eating habits, i.e., that pesky breakfast thing, I continue to use them. Sometimes I use them at sale price. Yay.
