Ottawa date for someone close to me!
I don't want to share the news for this person, but, she doesn't always post on here and I know some people would like to have an idea of the timeline for Ottawa, so, here is some info:
She had her "meet the surgeon" appointment on Nov. 19th and was told surgery would be 2-4 months.
She was called this morning and her surgery date is going to be Feb. 3/14!! I am so excited for her!!
Referral to Ottawa: Jan/11 Info Session: May/11 Nurse: Feb/12 Dietician/Behavourist/Abdominal Scan: Apr/12 Pre-op Education Class: Feb. 6/13 Meet Surgeon Feb.15/13 Surgery with Dr. Raiche March 12/13!!

Her family doctor referred her to the registry in Jan/13. She had orientation in Kingston on March 12/13. Then all of her appointments and tests-including sleep study & endoscopy. Her file was sent to Ottawa at the end of Sept/13. Met the surgeon Nov. 19th. Now just PATTS & surgery Feb. 3/14.

I'm in Ottawa too and I'm having surgery on Feb. 3 as well! She's my surgery twin!!!

Woo-Hoo sounds like things are rolling right alone at the Ottawa clinic for 2014. Let's hope that keeps up.

Thanks Muriel! Yes, we will probably come to the March meeting as the Feb. meeting is the same week as her surgery.
