You are stronger than you know .  You will find out how strong you are tomorrow. You can do it. I had to my opti at Thanksgiving and at the time i was upset my now 4 years out I am glad that I did it than. It was the start for me to learn strength and to learn to say no to food. Before the surgery I never said no to food and now I can say no and stay away from the bake goods and know that I can still have a good time without stuffing my face. You will learn so much if you stay strong. Believe me Opitfast is the easy part of this whole thing. It is after the operation and learning to keep the weight off that is the hard part. Good Luck tomorrow. Have a great Christmas. Make some  sugar free jello and make cherry or strawberry than you might feel that you are taking part.

Hi Yoyo I have just had my procedure I am now 6 weeks post op. Immediately after my surgery was Thanksgiving and it was SO hard not to be able to eat. But don't cheat you'll just feel defeated after. Stay strong remember this whole process is to make you stronger and healthier. We are all here for you and most of us have been where you are.

Hey love

The biggest part of the journey is working on changing your frame of mind. This will be forever.  So start by focusing on the things you have control over, the things that you can enjoy (company, laughter) and make it less about food.  Stay away from the food at gatherings.  Out of sight, out of mind.  Water water water always in your hand.

Start focusing on this AMAZING Journey that you are going to have that you have been waiting for for so long. This is going to be the MOST AMAZING YEAR OF YOUR LIFE.  Your weight is going to drop, your confidence will grow and you'll start to have control over food.

Start to think about how these foods have NOT BEEN YOUR FRIEND.  Think of the humilation, embarrassment (whatever?) that your weight has caused you.   The fattening foods have done you the biggest disservice but SOON THAT IS GOING TO CHANGE!!  You are going to CONQUER food.  You are going to CONQUER your weight. It's going to be the most amazing, mind blowing year of your life.  Start to focus on the things you want to accomplish.  Write down all the non number goals that you have.

THIS JOURNEY IS HAPPENING! You are in the final stages and then you'll be on to the biggest changes of your life.  2014 is going to remarkable.  You can reach a zillion goals - you just need to focus on them and write them down.  Journal, journal.  Focus on these boards and all the OH boards.  Read.  Let your journey consume you :)

Reach out. Find mentors.  Talk to your supporters and friends.

Dawn :)
