asthma meds and weight retention

so i had to take a couple puffs of my asthma medication last night -- advair. was so upset i had to use it, as i hadn't had to since surgery.

anyway, i woke up this morning and ... low and behold ... my ring was tight on my finger again.  i weighed in and was up 1.5 lbs from the day before.  my eyes were slightly baggy (typical sign of water retention for me).  i was totally pissed off.  i am suggesting that there is a relationship b/w the advair and water retention.

i guess i can call my pharmacist and ask, but i will toss the question out to you fine folks:  any of you notice weigh****er retention b/c of asthma meds?

I think there's something to it - I had to use my steroid inhaler the last few days, and today I feel bloated and my rings are tight too.

Bleh. Allergies and asthma didn't bug me for an entire month after surgery. Guess it was too good to be true!

I have been taking my Advair for the past 6 weeks and haven't noticed water retention, I just get headaches from it.  Water retention is listed as a rare side effect so it may be what caused yours.  Hope you feel better.

I am on a variety of asthma meds (advair being one of them) and have never noticed any water retention.
