Coughing and Sneezing Post-Op

I have been hit with a nice cold! Sneezing and coughing are killing me...I been holding my left side incisions when I sneeze or cough.

Any recommendations as far as cold medicine goes? I did a search on here but would like the opinion of locals because I know medications can differ between countries!

ask your pharmacist, they're an excellent resource. Tylenol products are fine to take.

What did you end up getting?

Feel better soon! I think it's really not a good idea to take a cough suppressant - you need to get it out (even though it hurts) you don't want to get pneumonia and lungs can be a bit sluggish post op. Get well soon, drink plenty of fluids and rest....(hahaha so likely eh? )

I got Tylenol complete. My cough is dry and it treats that but it also loosens phlegm

the sneezing is the worst. It feels like I'm being stabbed. I'm carrying around a pillow to absorb some of the motion. Lots of fluids on the menu today.
