Day 6 of Optifast Down, 15 to go

It is day # 6 of Optifast pre op.  It seems to get easier and easier every single day.  For all that are having a problem with the optifast, keep your chin up and try and stay positive.  I am looking so forward to operation day,  January 2nd in T.O.  I can already feel the difference the last 6 days have been.  Tomorrow is my pre op teleconference with the surgery team.  The only down fall is not being able to enjoy Christmas Dinner with my family, oh well, there is always next year.

Cheers to all that are going down the same journey.

I'm on day 3 and today was a little easier then the last 2 days. I was ready to call the whole thing off. I haven't cried so much in my life. Not cause I miss food but because I'm told I can't have it even if I wanted it! Come on January 6th (surgery day). Nice to see IT does get easier and easier. I hear Ya about the missing xmas dinner that's gonna be the hardest. Good luck and keep up the positive Attitude!

It sucks that you won't get to eat the same Christmas dinner as your family, but hopefully you'll all be together and get to enjoy their company. The sights and smells might be tempting, but the new, healthier, more mobile life you're building for yourself is way better than any turkey or pie. Stay strong and keep up the great work. You're worth it!
