Surgery Tomorrow!
Kidneys?? Really? My mom had a transplant 15 years ago, and did fine open, but wow, vaginally would have been better.
I'm seeing another OB/GYN in the new year to discuss hysterectomy vs ablation.
Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
i don't think they can put them IN, vaginally, but i have heard of them taking them OUT that way. I wish!! i'm giving one away in march, and that would make things much easier. I'm trying to talk the surgeon into getting a plastics guy in there at the same time, and doing a panniculectomy at the same time, but not having much luck there.
Good luck with your discussion! i've heard lots of good things about ablation.
LOL. I actually should have said that it would have been good for my aunt, the donor. NO, I don't think they could have put on in that way either LOL. Good for you for donating....gift that keeps on giving for sure.
I am hoping to have two surgeries at once as well. WHen I go for my bowel fix, I would like to have the ablation or vag hysterectomy done at the same time.
