You know, RNY didn't phase me, nor did my gall bladder removal over 5 years ago but this vaginal hysterectomy is freaking me the EFF out! I think its because of them playing with my "lady parts" but I am seriously so nervous! I have been seeing a guy for a couple months now as well and although we are not commited (yet) I get the old fears of not being good enough, like he will lose interest while I recuperate. He tells me that will not happen and he is driving me to the hospital and picking me up upon release. Still can't help but feel SO nervous about the whole thing! and just before Christmas! ahhhh!!! Wish me luck! :)

Good luck tomorrow. I am sure all will be great. My sister just had the same surgery. Her recovery was amazing compared to mine a few years ago. It took me a good 6-8 weeks to feel better. My sister was better in half the time. Sounds like you have a real sweet guy too!

Take care pal.

too cool,, they'll just put some salad tongs up the old "lady parts" and yank out the bits. It'll be awesome!!! (well, maybe not quite awesome, but it'll be ok).

You'll do fine, and things will be wonderful after!!!!

LOL good grief that is quite the description ;-)

I had an open hysterectomy in 2005, worst experience of my life. Have heard the vaginal ones are sooooo much better. I still have a hard time imagining them going up my hoo haw to remove my 'lady bits' as I wiggle in my seat thinking about it....ick!! Lol

Good luck tomorrow to the OP!!
