starting opti fast monday need some info
I drank 4 a day - everyday. I spaced them 7 am 11 am 3 pm and 7pm.
Buy some sugar free syrups - I had pumpkin pie and added cinnamon, chocolate chip, chocolate, strawberry - i can now add the left overs to protein shakes post op.
I also had peppermint extract, almond extract. I loved the coffee but that won't help you.
It really needs to be cold, so if you have an ice maker it will really get a work out, if not make sure you have a lot of ice trays.
I didn't mind the taste, I didn't like the smell so I drank all of mine from an insulated cup with a straw...

I drank the chocolate straight - they were decent but the vanilla I played with - mainly used buttewr rum sugar free davinci syrup and cinamon and other pumpkin pie type spices - lasted like a latte.
they syrups I got from thelowcarbgrocery.com i think they were like $10 a bottle and delivered next day. - certainly worth it

Very impressed with the speed and how they shipped the syrups (packed in Styrofoam made to the size of the bottles).
Others also use Mio or Crystal Light.
I took four a day because the direction from my centre was to do so. It said it was important to take all of them in order to help healing.
I used mint and orange in the chocolate... on occasion I would heat the chocolate up slightly passed room temp to enjoy it like a hot chocolate. In the vanilla i put coconut, orange and banana extracts.. That made them very yummy. I also suggest drinking through a cup with a lid if you are someone who gets turned off by smells... optifast doesnt have the best smell.
I got all 4 in except for 1 day when I was violently ill. I didnt like the sugar free syrups cause I found that they made them even more sweet. Everyone is different. try what works for you.. it will take a few days to figure out what works best

I could only get 3 in a day but I was sick with a cold during that time too so didn't feel like eating much anyways. I much preferred the chocolate and I added mint extract to it regularly and added a lot of crushed ice to make them really cold. I tried many flavours to make the vanilla taste better but I never found one that worked for me. If it was really cold I could drink it down. Good luck.
