Vitamix!
Hell All!
Just wanted to let you guys know that I recently purchased a Vitamix! Let me tell you, this thing is going to come in handy post op! I have always wanted one but now especially, I think I will be using it more due to this surgery I'm having.
For any of you that are interested in purchasing one.. a piece of advice.. the vitamix Canadian website is wayyy more expensive than the American Website! I called Vitamix and asked how I could purchase one of their blenders from the American site, and all I had to do was send it to a U.S. shipping address. Thankfully I'm originally from Niagara Falls and know people that live in the US. The US website also sells reconditioned units for a fraction of the price!
The unit I bought was reconditioned for 379.99..and it still comes with a 5 year full warranty.. that price is really good when the canadian vitamix website retails at about 600-700 dollars!
Just thought I'd share my info with you if any of you are thinking of buying one!

I just recently purchased a Vitamix myself from the shopping channel. It was for 499 and they offered a 12 month payment plan. I had always wanted one but could not afford to just roll out the money but the 12 month payment plan is pretty helpful. I never really thought of my US connections. I've used it a few times and I just love it...it was recommended to me mainly for my post op.
They sell them at costco.ca as well. http://www.costco.ca/Vitamix-Total-Nutrition-Centre.product. 100019807.html $469.99
They have also been having roadshows of the Blendtec's which are comparable (most juice bars use Blendtecs) http://www.costco.ca/Blendtec%C2%AE-Total-Blender.product.10 395861.html $459.99 but they are around $350.00 at the Roadshows and you get 2 containers.
